Léocadie Daigle
1929-2017
SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB –
Léocadie Daigle, 88, formerly of Saint-Charles passed away
peacefully at la Villa Maria on Saturday, December
10th, 2017. Born in Acadieville, she was the
daughter of the late Antoine and Marguerite (Gallant) Bordage. Before
retiring, Léocadie worked as a teacher for 33 years. After
her retirement, she volunteered her time at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent
Hospital, at the Villa Maria and at the Foyer Bois Joli. She was a
sacristan for the Saint-Charles-Borromée
Church.
Léocadie leaves to mourn her children
from her first marriage to Israel Daigle, two daughters, Rose
Mazerolle (late Jean-Marc) of St-Charles and Diane Daigle (Gaby) of
Moncton; and three sons, Donald (Darlene) of Dieppe, Claude (Paulette)
of Cocagne and Jacques Cormier of Calgary, AB; her children from her
second marriage to Edouard Savoie, daughter, Yvette Goguen (late
Alvin) of Dieppe; and two sons, Yvon (Delima) of Dieppe and Normand
(Therese) of Grandby, QC; as well as many
grandchildren.
Léocadie will be sadly missed by her
two sisters, Evéline Babineau (late Delphis) of St-Stephens
and Cecile Chevarie (Alyre) of St-Charles; two brothers, Eloi
(Roseline) and Albert (Maria), both of Aldouane; as well as many
nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Léocadie is
predeceased by her first husband, Israel Daigle; her second husband,
Edouard Savoie; daughter, Alice Gray; four sisters, Zélia,
Marianne, Flora and Léa; as well as four brothers, Ulysse,
Léo, Adrien (Rogersville Trappist Father) and
Dolphé.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s
Funeral Home, Richibucto on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm and Thursday
from 9:00am until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be
celebrated on Thursday, December 14th, 2017 at
11:30am, St-Charles-Borromée Roman Catholic Church,
Saint-Charles. If so desired, donations in memory of
Léocadie made to La Villa Maria would be appreciated by the
family.
