Obituary Overview
In Loving Memory
Lenette Dora Powell-Flowers. Light a candle. Say a prayer. Dance in joy. No longer in earthly pain, Lenette, born May 30, 1958 (Potato Planting Day) passed November 25, 2017. She is safe in the arms of her parents, Robert Leslie Powell and Dora Winnifred Campbell Powell, as well as reunited with extended family members. Proud mother to her greatest achievement, her most beloved son; Justin. Baby sister to; Roberta (Jim), Garth (Irene), Delena (Denis pre-deceased), Karen (Gary pre-deceased), Marlene, Sherry (John pre-deceased – her pack mule). Beloved auntie to the BEST nieces and nephews in the world.
No one is surprised (except Lenette) that she went to her greater reward before all of her older sisters and brother because she always thought doctors orders were just suggestions. We fully expected Lenette to meet us at the Pearly Gates with an escape plan and a “To Do” list. Still your loving family, friends and caregivers thank you Lenette because you taught us the joy of colouring outside the lines.
All of Lenette’s family feel indebted to the staff at Tullamore Care Community for the love and care showered on Lenette. You were all so kind, especially her Cynthia, Vashti, Neena and roomie; Johanna.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 1st from 5-9pm at the Scott Funeral Home – Brampton Chapel. A celebration of Lenette’s life will be held on Saturday, December 2nd at 11am at Emmanuel United Church, 420 Balmoral Drive, Brampton.
If desired, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
