The death of Donald “Lee” Alcorn, age 91, of
Belleisle Creek, NB, occurred at Kiwanis Nursing Home, Sussex, NB
on Friday, December 16, 2016. He was born on October 15,
1925, in Belleisle, NB, the husband of Winnifred (Armstrong) Alcorn
and a son of the late Medley and Selina (Haines)
Alcorn.
Lee is survived by his wife Winnifred; daughter Phyllis Pomer
of Nepean, ON; grandchildren Angela (Tad) Brown, Beth Simo;
great-grandchildren Brigit Brown, Garrett Brown, Peter Simo;
sister-in-law Orpha Phippen; brothers-in-law Leroy Armstrong of
Apohaqui, NB, Glen (Eleanor) Armstrong of Rothesay, NB; sisters-in-law
Bernice Pearson of Sussex, NB, Beryl Howe of Sussex, NB; several
nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Miriam
Alcorn; brothers Arthur (Agnes), Fred (Maude), Howard (Eva), Wes
(Alice), Albert (Marion), Ernie (Elva), Russell, Murray ; sisters
Mabel (Stewart) Gregg, Alice (Francis) Kellier; sisters-in-law Yvonne
Muir and Leona Allan.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s
Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road,
Norton, NB, where visitation will be held from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8pm on
Sunday, December 18, 2016. The funeral service will be held on Monday,
December 19, 2016 at 11:00am from St. Simon & St.
Jude’s Anglican Church, Belleisle, NB. Interment will take
place at St. Simon & St. Jude’s Cemetery at a later
date.
Donations in memory of Lee may be made to the Diabetic
Association, St. Simon & St. Jude’s Anglican Church
or to the memorial of the donor’s choice. Personal
