Lavern “Earl” Colwell
Earl Colwell of Wetaskiwin, Alberta passed away suddenly, surrounded by his family, at the Grey Nuns Hospital in Edmonton on Monday, March 27, 2017.
Earl will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 64 years, Joan; his four sons, Grant (Irene), Tim (Leona), Mark (Sandra), Troy (Dixie) and his daughter, Karen (Colin). Also sharing fond memories of a special gentleman are his 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews as well as his brother, Cec Colwell (Otillia) and sisters, Arlene Adair and Mavis (Elmer) Mantai.
Earl was predeceased by his father and mother, William and Olive; brother, Ernie; sisters-in-law, Doris and Ruth, and brother-in-law, Stan Adair.
Born January 1, 1930, in Consort, Alberta, Earl was a life-long ‘Railroader’ who had a long career with the Northern Alberta and Canadian Pacific Railways.
Cremation has taken place.
Memorial Service: Baker Funeral Chapel in Wetaskiwin on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Glen Forsberg officiating.
