It is with heavy hearts that that we announce the passing of Korey Michael James
Mitchell on December 22, 2017 at the age of 43 years.
Korey is survived by his wife Jennifer
and his two daughters Kira and Kloe, Mom and Dad Sandra and James Mitchell,
sister Kendra (Marvin, Rylan and Noah), sister Karla (Roy, Emily), Mother and Father In-law Dionisia and Ronaldo
Ramos, brother in-law Kenneth (Kimberley, Cali). He also leaves to mourn many extended family
and friends, especially long time friend Nick Korolyk. Korey was predeceased by his nephew Braeden.
Korey was born in Winnipeg on August 29,
1974. He attended Tyndall Park School
and graduated from Sisler High School in 1993.
He started working at Winter’s Auto Body at the age of 13 on the
weekends and continued on there till his passing. Korey was a dedicated employee and looked up
to Mr. Dave Winter and his family. He
was always there for his girls, whether it was to drive them to dance or go for
a Sunday drive. He always looked forward
to spending time at the trailer with his family during the summer.
The family would like to thank the
Palliative care doctors and nurses that cared for Korey in his final days, both
at home and Riverview.
A celebration of Korey’s life will take
place on Friday December 29, 2017 at 2:00pm at Glen Eden Funeral Home &
Cemetery 4477 Main Street. Cremation will take place following the
service and a private interment will take place at a later date.
