LING, Mr. Ko-Ching ‘’Herbert’’
1928-2017
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Ko-Ching ‘’Herbert’’ Ling on January 17, 2017 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of Kay. He leaves to mourn his children Herbert (Kristina), Nancy (Francis) and Mary; his grandchildren Justin, Adrian, Natasha, Jenna and Avery.
Ko-Ching studied engineering at National Taiwan University and pursued postgraduate studies at the Federal Aviation Administration in Oklahoma City, Nebraska for two years. He met Kay and they married in 1954. He worked for United Nations and lead a team of engineers to Congo for 9 years. In Canada he worked on microwave telecommunication technology which lead to work in Mexico, Philippines, and China. His passion included golf, tennis, custom audiotronics, and music. He was a devoted family man. He will be fondly remembered.
Visitation will take place at Rideau Funeral Home 4275 Sources Blvd. Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC H9B 2A6 514 685-3344 www.rideaumemorial.com on Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 3:30pm to 5:30pm. Burial will be arrange through Burke Funeral Home in Belleville, Ontario on a later date.
Memorial donations in his memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
