1969-2017
Kevin Francis Rafuse – age 48, passed away peacefully on
August 14, 2017, surrounded by family and friends. Born in Halifax on
February 5, 1969, he was a son of the late Garnet and Peggy
(Bowers) Rafuse.
Kevin loved being outdoors, fishing, gardening, going to his
brother’s camp having huge bonfires, and music. He was self
taught on his guitars. He was a handy man and a problem solver. He
worked as a scafolder for many years. Kevin was an amazing
husband, father and friend. He will be missed by
many.
Kevin will lovingly be remembered by his wife, Lisa; sons,
Geremy (Jade) and Devin Rafuse; daughter, Alexa Fleming-Rafuse
(Connor); step grandchild, Bella; brother, Tony
Rafuse; sister, Cindy Priske (Jeff) and Theresa
Rafuse; mother in law, Donna Fleming; brothers in law, Kenny, Kevie,
Benny and Chris Fleming; sisters in law, Anne Fleming, Tanya Eddy;
nephews, Adam (Sarah ), Cody, Tyler, Logan, Darren and Lucien; nieces,
Ashten (Kevin), Samantha, Melissa, Sarah
and Dakota; great neices and nephew, Aria,
Brooklyn and Kayden; Life long friends, Ricky Tanner and Brent
Collins. He was predeceased by his sister, Chris Rafuse; nephew,
Anthony Rafuse; father in law, Ben Fleming.
Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral
Home (2005) Ltd., where visitation will be held on Thursday, August 17
from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. A Service of Remembrance will be held on
Friday, August 18 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment to
follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. A reception will be held following
the burial at the Purcell’s Cove Club.
