Obituary of Kenneth Heise
HEISE, Kenneth Jackson – Passed away peacefully, at home, with his wife of 41 years by his side, on Sunday, November 26, 2017. Ken of Peterborough, formerly of Scarborough and Pickering, in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Eleanor (Paton). Dear brother of Peter Heise and the late Tom. Brother-in-law of Donna (Ellis Hewitt) and the late Carole Hand. Much loved uncle of Christina, Mary-Katherine (Paul), Thom, David (Susan), Craig, Patricia (Norm) and Rick (Heather). “Really great Uncle Ken” of several great nieces and nephews. Ken will be sadly missed by many other relatives and friends and especially “Max” the cat.
Retired from the Scarborough Board of Education. Long-time member of Peterborough Senior Men’s Slow-Pitch League and the Senior Wednesday Morning Bowling League at Lakeview Bowl. Ken was also an avid boater and Nascar fan.
Following Ken’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial reception will be held at Ashburnham Funeral Home & Reception Centre, on Sunday, December 10 from 2 – 5 pm with words of remembrance at 3 pm. Memorial donations to the PRHC Foundation or Hospice Peterborough will be gratefully acknowledged. Online condolences and directions to the celebration may be found at www.AshburnhamFuneral.ca
