Obituary for Kathleen Godkin
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our
beloved Kathleen Theresa Godkin, of Currabaggan, Ballina, County Mayo, Ireland on Sunday, April 2, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer at Hill House Hospice, Richmond Hill at the age of 76.
God called her to join the love of her life, her husband of 52 years, John Godkin (2014) of Glenealy, Ireland.
She will be missed by her brother Malachy (Mary) Kelly, Ballina, County Mayo, sisters, Joan Morrison, Ballina and Carmel (Sean) Starrs, Ballina, and all her nieces and nephews in Toronto, England, Belgium and Ireland.
Visitation will be held at MARSHALL FUNERAL HOME, 10366 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill on Thursday April 6th from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. David’s Parish, 2601 Major MacKenzie Drive, Maple on Friday April 7, 2017 at 11 am. A special thank you to her dear friends, Carole & Fausto, their children, Christina, Paolo, Fabio and Mary & Nick, their children, Laura and Nicholas for all their love, support and devotion throughout the years. Donations to the Hill House Hospice (36 Wright St., Richmond Hill, L4C 4A1 www.hillhousehospice.com – in memoriam) and the Cancer Society would be appreciated.
