Kathleen (Kate) Davis
1931-2017
It is with great sadness that
the family of the late Kathleen (Kate)
Davis announce her peaceful passing on May 31, 2017 at the
Labrador Health Centre in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL at the age of 85
years. She will be sadly missed by
her best friend and partner, Ken Mesher.
Leaving
to mourn with many loving memories, her children, Evelyn (Baxter)
Learning of Winsor, ON, Jane (Larry) Hopkins of Stewart, BC, Mary
Davis of Goose Bay, Joyce Elliott of Stewart, BC, Terry (Barb) Davis
of Smithers, BC, Norman (Vera) Davis of Paradise River, NL,
and John (Audrey) Davis of
Lloydminster, AB; grandchildren, Jennifer (Craig), Lori (Ward), Eugene
(Crystal),Scott (Cari), Stacey (Brennan), Jennie (Jamie), Charles,
Amanda (Adrian), Christa, Elva (Chad), Nick, Darrell (Denise), Tamara
(Doug), Dennis (Amanda) and Tina, wife of Arthur (Deceased); 34
great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren; as well as a
large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents Gertrude and
Norman Lethbridge,; brothers, Garland, Roland and John; sisters,
Elizabeth and Ella; sons in law, Gursh and Terry; grandsons Arthur,
John and George (twins).
The family would like to thank
the staff at the Labrador Health Centre for their care and
compassion. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly
missed. Resting at
Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 45 Aspen Drive on Sunday, June 4,
2017 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm and Monday 2-4 pm & 7-9
pm. Funeral service will be held
on June 6, 2017 at 3:00 pm from St Andrew’s
Anglican Parish with Rev Nellie Thomas
officiating. Interment will follow at the
Eagle River Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy,
flowers are welcomed and/or donations in Kate’s memory can
be made to St. Andrew’s Anglican
