Obituary for Katharina “Tina” Wiebe
WIEBE, Katharina “Tina” – peacefully gone to be with the Lord, on Saturday, October 7th, 2017 at the John Noble Home. Tina was in her 90th year. Reunited with her beloved husband of over 65 years, the late Peter Wiebe (2013). Devoted, loving mother of John (Helmi), Anita (Glenn) and Frank (Maggie). Much loved Nana of 14 grandchildren and cherished “old Nana” to 10 great grandchildren. Survived by sister in law Neta Krause, Powassan; Jake and Tina Hildebrandt in Virgil; and Peter Friesen in Winnipeg along with many nieces and nephews and extended family across Canada. Tina was strong in her faith and dedication to her family. She will be remembered by many for her capable, caring hands always busy baking, cooking, sewing, crocheting and knitting. We are left with beautiful memories and keepsakes that will be passed down and treasured for years to come. We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all the staff on Brant Terrace for their care and compassion towards Tina over the years and even more so these last few weeks. Heartfelt thanks to the “special caregivers” your reassurance and support brought us comfort and a sense of peace knowing she was loved and cared for. Family and friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Wednesday October 11th, 2017, from 7-9 p.m. and again on Thursday, October 12th, 2017 from 1-2 p.m. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. Interment at Oak Hill Cemetery. Light refreshment to follow. If desired, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Day & Stay Program at the JNH, would be greatly appreciated. www.dennistoll.ca
