Obituary
It is with great sorrow and a deep sense of loss, that the family of Katelyn Garvin announces her sudden and unexpected passing in Edmonton on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at age 24.
Katelyn was born in Red Deer, AB and spent most of her early childhood living in Calgary, Rockyford, and Fort St. John, BC before moving to Edmonton in 2003. She graduated from the Edmonton Christian High School in 2011.
The light of Katelyn’s life touched all who knew her. She had an effervescent spirit and natural enthusiasm that struck everyone she met, and a smile that will never be forgotten. She was impulsive and fun, but was also someone who would seek out and comfort outsiders. Her empathetic nature warmed the hearts of all those who loved her.
Cherished daughter of Sheila and Trevor; one-of-a-kind sister to Ashley and Samuel; adored granddaughter of Dorothy Whatley and John (Gail) Garvin; loving niece, cousin, and friend to many. Predeceased by her beloved grandpa, Ronald Whatley.

A Memorial Service will be held at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011- 114 Street, Edmonton, on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Katelyn’s memory to the Edmonton Humane Society.
