Karen Sarah Conley
1943-2017
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Karen
Sarah Conley, which occurred on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at the
Loch Lomond Villa, surrounded by family. Born in St. Stephen, NB on
August 16, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Prescott and Margaret
(Grant) Conley.
Karen was raised in St. Andrews, NB. She had a
great love of music and shared her musical talents though her teaching
in Saint John for a number of years until her retirement.
Karen suffered through mental illness for most of her life, now she is
at peace.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Paul Elson
(Stephanie Groom) of Saint John; granddaughter, Destiny Elson;
sisters: Mary Conley (David Gray) of Victoria, BC and Ann Kinsella
(Noel) of Fredericton, NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents, Karen was predeceased by her brother Gordon
Conley.
Arrangements are under the care of
Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB
(634-7424) with visitation on Monday, November 27, 2017
from 2:00 – 4:00 to 6:00 – 8:00. There
will be a service at a later date in St. Andrews, NB. For
those who wish, donations in Karen’s memory can be made to
the Canadian Mental Health Association or Loch Lomond Villa
Foundation.
