Karen Anne Carrier
1968-2017
It is with heart felt sorrow that our family announces the death of
Karen Anne (Kinsella) Carrier of Nackawic, NB on June 22, 2017 at the
Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. A beautiful and courageous woman, she
died after a short battle with cancer.
Karen Anne was born in Saint John, NB on July 27, 1968 and spent her
formative years growing up along her beloved Kennebecasis River. A
graduate of Kennnebecasis Valley High School, Karen Anne went on to
earn a degree in psychology and sociology from St. Thomas University.
This led to a career as an educational assistant in the communities in
which she lived. Karen Anne’s compassion was evident in her
devotion to her many students.
Karen was married in 1994 to Michael Carrier of Belledune, NB where
they raised their two beautiful children, Andrea and Steven. After
moving to Nackawic, Karen Anne continued her career in education until
her diagnosis. Karen Anne’s sense of humor, her kindness and her
courage guided us all during the difficult times of her illness.
Besides her husband Michael and children Andrea and Steven, she is
survived by her parents, J. Leonard Kinsella and Margaret Kern of
Rothesay, NB; two sisters, Beth Beckingham (Kirk), Rothesay, NB;
Colleen Morgan (Bob), Port Hastings, NS; mother- and father-in law
Audrey and Louis Carrier, Belledune, NB; brothers-in-law Jimmy Carrier
(Lana) and Timmy Carrier (Nicole), both of Belledune, NB and Mark
Carrier (Suzanne), Nackawic, NB; sister-in-law Amy McDonnell (James),
Quispamsis, NB; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Although there will be no visitation, friends are welcome to attend a
Funeral Mass at St. Simon and St. Jude Catholic Church, 199 Otis
Drive, Nackawic, NB on Monday, June 26, 2017 at 11 am. with Father
Aaron Knox officiating.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Karen Anne, the
family has suggested the Louise Breau Memorial Medical Trust Fund.
