Karen Ann Rosewood Black (nee Perchotte/Martin)
January 14, 1949 – October 21, 2017
It is with great sadness that the family of Karen Rosewood Black announces her passing on October 21, 2017, at the Beausejour Hospital at the age of 68.
She was born in Williams Lake, BC. The family later moved to St. Claude, MB. She then moved to Winnipeg where she met Yvon (John) Perchotte and raised three children, later moving to Lockport and Lac Du Bonnet until her last home in Beausejour, MB which she shared with her partner Adam Black.
She was predeceased by her parents, Doralis and Peter Martin. She will be dearly missed by partner Adam Black, her siblings, Corae Garner, Greg (Lisa) Martin , Pamela Sabourin, her children, Sarina Renee (born Corina Perchotte), Richard (Janice) Perchotte, Dina (Jason) Federowich, her grandchildren, Jordon Rennie, Hailey Perchotte, Jazmin Federowich, Harlan Perchotte, and Vincent Federowich along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Karen had always been a very sweet lady, touching the hearts all who knew her. She had a very kind and gentle soul. Her family will always have memories of her beautiful smile. Karen loved being in nature, gardening in her yard, outings with the family, sharing great meals with loved ones, and especially long car rides in the countryside. She loved all of her grandchildren and treasured the time spent with them. Grandma took great joy in attending the grandchildren’s concerts, recitals, birthday parties and gatherings at their homes. Wishing Karen eternal peace and happiness.
Please join the family in saying goodbye at the funeral service being held on Monday, October 30 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, 309 Eveline Street, Selkirk MB.
