Obituary for June Friend (Mackey)
Passed away at the Brockville General Hospital, Garden Street Site on Saturday, December 16, 2017, following a brief illness. June Ethel Eileen (Mackey) Friend, at the age of 75 years. Beloved wife of Frank Friend for 54 years. Survived by her siblings Mervin (Carol), Barbara (Jack), Billie (John, deceased), Marlene, Mitch (Diane), Ginger (Bernie), Laurence (Helen), Loretta (Bert), Glenda, Glenn (Lucy), and Melinda (Len). Also survived by her brothers-in-law Bill and Stan. She was predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Evelyn Mackey and by her siblings Aileen, Patricia, and Jean.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville, on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, from 2-3 pm. A ceremony celebrating June’s life will be held at 3 pm in the chapel. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation; Palliative Care will be gratefully acknowledged.
