In a room filled with sweet warmth of shared love and sadness, we said goodbye to a devoted wife of 50 years, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Julie will be lovingly remembered by her husband Timothy Bolen; son Robert (Katie) – Stephanie (Chris & Damien), and Kelsey (Gage & Rori); daughter Laurie (Dave); daughter Janice (Bill) – Elaine (Trevor, Zacharia, Katelyn, Jade & Paige), Frank (Christie, Nicholas, Adam, Steven, Dryden, Lucas & Nathan), and Carmela (Todd, Chase & Dylan); son Gordon (Nadine) – Miranda (Tim, Cameron, Beckett & Maxwell), Janine, Michael, and Calvin (Bobbi & baby); son Timothy (Robin) – Jennifer (Brian, Coraline & Alexia) and Alex; daughter Christine (Trevor) – Danielle (Sean & Ava-lynn); daughter Tamathea (Darcy) – Josh (Jenna, Paisley & Jeff), Shyla (Chris, Ares & Emma), Chris (Andria, Chase & Blaize), and Darren; daughter Corine (Wayne) – Danielle (Ryan), Dustin (Ashly, Skye, April & baby), Tyler (Holly & Jaxon), Cody, and Colton; daughter Ginger (Scott) – Abrenna (Westin, Saige & Nash), Julianne (Trevor & Tayviah), and Austin (Christina, Benjamin & McKenna); and son Edward (Cyndi) – Jessica (Sophie & baby), Jasmine, Timothy, and Chyabelle. Julie is also survived by her sisters Elsie & Dianne and her brother Nester; as well as many more family and friends who keep her in their memory.
Julie was predeceased by her parents Michael & Irene Wulowka; parents-in-law Edward & Agnes Bolen; eight brothers and sisters; grandchildren Devon Newson and April Johnson; great-grandchild Katlyn Secreto; and her sister-in-law and dear friend, Virginia Bolen.
A Celebration of Julie’s Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion in Ponoka at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2017. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to S.T.A.R.S. or The Salvation Army.
