It is with great sadness that the family of the late Julia
Jane Shears (nee: Hulan) announce her passing of Tuesday, August 8,
2017 at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville, NL at the age of
66 years. She is survived by her loving husband John. She leaves to
mourn her son Roger and her daughter-in-law Serena. Her family members
will miss her dearly, including her brothers Rendell (Linda) Hulan,
Grand Falls-Windsor and Barton (Bernice) Hulan, Brantford, ON and
sisters-in-law: Heather (Darcy) Major, Reidville, NL and Gloria Butt,
Kamloops, BC. She will also be missed by a large circle of nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her
parents Ellis and Martha Hulan and her brother-in-law Joseph. Among
the things that Julia cherished most in life were her connections with
family and friends. Julia’s family would like to express
special thanks to Cis, Cathy, Lorraine and Juanita for their
invaluable help and their friendship over the years. Friends may visit
St. George’s Anglican Church in Robinson’s on
Friday, August 11, 2017 between 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral service will
take place on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 2 p.m. from St.
George’s Anglican Church in Robinson’s, NL with
Rev. Kris Gosse officiating. Inurnment will take place following the
service in the Anglican Cemetery, McKay’s, NL. As
expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations
may be made to the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation or a charity
of ones’ choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to
Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing,
NL.
