1959-2017
The passing of Judith Ellen Hanley of Woodstock NB and formerly of
Back Bay NB occurred unexpectedly at the Upper River Valley Hospital,
Waterville NB on November 19, 2017. Born in Blacks Harbour NB on July
19, 1959, she was a daughter of the late Frederick M. and Bessie G.
(Leavitt) Hanley.
A loving partner, mother, grandmother and sister, Judy is survived by
her fiancé: Chris Clark of Woodstock NB; her children: Henry
Sargefield (Tanya Jordan) of St. George NB, Jeremy (Catherine)
Sargefield of Alberta and Starr Sargefield of Ontario; five
grandchildren; brothers: Fred Hanley Jr., Ernest Hanley and Larry
(Carole) Hanley all of Back Bay NB and Rev. Vincent (Mary) Hanley of
Pictou NS; sisters: Linda (Victor) Barwell, Josephine (Wesley)
Patterson, Geraldine (Fred) Patterson, Melva Parker and Dora McCurdy
all of Back Bay NB, Iona Thompson of St. George NB and Leona (Burton)
MacDonald of Kouchibouguac NB; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In
addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one brother: Donald
Hanley.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26
Portage Street, St. George NB. Resting at the Sea View Full Gospel
Church, Back Bay NB with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The
service will take place at the church on Wednesday at 2:00 pm with
Rev. Randy Crozier officiating, followed by the interment in the Back
Bay Community Cemetery. In Judy’s memory, donations to a charity of
the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
