1924-2017
Joyce M. (Price) Marks,93, of Fundy Royal Manor, Hillsborough
and formerly of Germantown, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2017
at the Moncton Hospital.
Joyce was born in Sunny Brae on February 24, 1924, the only
child of the late Harry P. Price and Myrtle I. (Wade)
Price.
She moved to Germantown in 1947 with her husband Ralph she
spent many years working the farm before they moved to Alma where they
owned and operated the Irving Service Station for many
years. Her passion was genealogy and she could tell you
about every family tree in Albert Co. and beyond. She was always busy
filling her time reading, quilting, baking, making puzzles, knitting
or crocheting. She had a very quick wit and loved to tease.
Joyce adored all animals and had a special place in her heart for her
cat, Snoopy. She was a chocoholic and you were always
guaranteed to find a stash of bars or candy in her room.
She loved music and played the organ at West River
United Church and St. Stephen’s United Church in Alma for
countless years. “Her song has ended but her
melody lingers on…”
She will be deeply missed by by her only child, Cheryl
Anderson (Ron) of Alma; granddaughters, Shannon Anderson of St.
John’s NL and Morgan Anderson of
Moncton; step-grandson, Chris Anderson of Dennis
Beach. She will also be missed by all her friends at Fundy
Royal Manor.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband
Ralph.
She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home. A time
of visitation will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home prior to
the service from 1-2pm. The Funeral service will be at the Albert
County Funeral Home on Saturday, March 18th, 2017 at 2:00pm with Rev.
Carol Mullin officiating. Interment will be in the Alma
United Cemetery, Alma at a later date. Following the service the
family invites everyone to join them for further
sharing of memories and
refreshments.
