Obituary of Joseph Amero
Joseph L. Amero, 55 of Delap’s Cove, Anna. Co. passed away November 9, 2017 in his home. Born in Digby, he was a son of the late Ronald and Lucy (Melanson) Amero.
Joey was a fun loving guy and was blessed with many good friend. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren. Joey also enjoyed baking and cooking. You could find him in the kitchen making just about anything, he was famous for his rapure pie. Joey also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid Montreal Canadians fan.
Joey worked at varies jobs. Irving Sawmill, Weymouth .N.S, Lobster and Scallop Fisherman also varies fish plants over the years, most resent being Delap’s Cove Fisheries.
Joey is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Angela Wile; sons Matthew (Amy Haight) Amero, Digby Neck; Johnathan Amero, Delap’s Cove; daughter Chelsy (Shawn Mitchell) Amero, Marshalltown; brothers Donnie (Susan) Amero, Seabrook; Jeff Amero, Digby; grandchildren Chloe Mitchell and Hayden Amero. Joey also left behind his 2 cats that he loved Miss Kitty and Baby Girl.
He was predeceased by a brother John and sister Debbie Murphy.
Memorial donations may be made to the Diabetes Canada, Busy Bee’s of Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown or a local chapter of the SPCA. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr. (902-679-2822).
