Age 57, Halifax (Formerly of
Louisdale)
It is with sadness that we announce his passing on October
19, 2017 at the QEII Health Sciences Centre,
Halifax. Born in Arichat, he was a son of the late
Raymond and Elizabeth (MacRae) Marchand.
Jerome is survived by
son, Justin, Halifax; loving spouse, Karen Embree, Halifax; brothers,
Perry (Claire) Marchand, Louisdale; and Tony (Cathy) Marchand,
Ontario. He was grateful for life surrounded by loved ones especially
his nieces and nephews, special cousins, Paul Marchand, Cubbie
Poirier, friends and coworkers at Oland Brewery. Jerome also enjoyed
hanging out with his buddy Angus, both sharing a passion for
fishing.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Dennis
Haverstock Funeral Homes, Port Hawkesbury. The family will receive
friends from 2-5 pm on October 31, 2017 at Royal Canadian Legion
Halifax Branch Vimy 27, 6158 Almond St., Halifax.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11am on Friday,
October 27, 2017 in the St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, Louisdale.
Burial will take place in the parish cemetery following
mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St.
Louis Parish Cemetery Fund or a charity of your choice.
