WESTCOTT, John – Passed away after a short battle with bowel cancer at the Salvation Army Glenbrook Lodge on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, John Westcott, in his 60th year. Predeceased by his parents William and Mary Westcott. Leaving to mourn his best friend and brother, Bill; sisters: Bernice and Joan; brothers-in-law: Thomas Hennessey and Andrew Coady; nieces Gail and Andrea; nephews: Gary, Todd and Jason; and a large circle of family and friends. Special thanks to the staff and residents of Glenbrook Lodge who took excellent care of him in the final months of his life, and to Canon John Courage who was a great source of comfort to John during his illness. Visitation will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Friday, July 28, 2017, from 1:00pm-9:00pm. Funeral service to be held at Barrett’s Funeral Chapel on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 11:00am with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. No flowers by request.
