Our Brother John Tuil Jok
Tuil was born on January 29 1986 in Itang, Ethiopia.
He was the oldest son of Jok Tuil and Elizabeth Ayen Mach. Tuil has seven siblings, Rebecca Nyathiek Jok, Michael Mach Jok, Majok Jok, Chiengkou Jok, Deng Jok, Nyantiop Jok, and Adol Jok.
In 1991, Tuil moved to Kapoeta, Eastern Equatoria, South Sudan along with his parents and sister Rebecca. In 1992 Tuil and his family then moved to Kakuma Refugee Camp, Kenya, and in 1995 moved to Ifo, Northeastern Kenya. In 2003 Tuil and his family immigrated to Canada and resided in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Education
Tuil went to St. John High School upon moving to Canada. Then after moving to Transcona, he attended Miles Macdonell Collegiate.
After high school, he resided in Red Deer, Alberta, then moved back to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 2016 and resided in Winnipeg until his death on October 21, 2017.
