Thomas, John “Murray”
The passing of John “Murray” Thomas of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Margaret (MacKinnon) Thomas occurred on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.
Born on February 18, 1929 in Stanley, NB, he was the son of the late Sidney and Gladys (Bishop) Thomas.
Murray had a long career in the military and the provincial government.
He enjoyed an extensive list of hobbies and interests during his life including, fishing, hunting, golfing and growing Christmas trees.
He was an accomplished golf smith in later years.
Murray is survived by his children, Brian Thomas (Judy) of Fredericton, NB, Karen Bradley (Royal) of Parry Sound, ON and Kevin Thomas (Sinda) of London, ON; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his sisters, Louise, Audrey and Anna.

Although there will be no visitation; the Memorial Service will take place in St. Thomas Anglican Church, Stanley, NB on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 2 pm with Rev. Canon Bonita LeBlanc officiating.
Interment will take place in St. Peter’s Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Peter’s Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
