Richard John Moffat passed away in the comfort of the Moffat homestead on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. Age 76 years.
The 4th generation farmer said goodbye to his beautiful bride, Anne (Hardie) Moffat, the life they shared, and the 150 year legacy that he was so proud to be a part of. John battled valiantly in the last years of his life, and we are so grateful for his courage. Loving father of Irwin (Stacy), Mary Walker (Rob), Audrey Milligan (Paul), Lynn Jacklin (Spencer), and Lois Moffat.
Loving Grandpa of Sarah (Bryan), Emma (Ryan), Holly (Jason), Peyton, Lexy, and Sarah A.; Samantha (Adam) and Joe; Luke and Arden; and Ethan and Camryn.
Great grandpa of Jordyn, Charlie-Lynn, and Johnny; and Miia and Isla.
Predeceased by his parents Leonard and Esther, and by his brothers Ardell and George. Survived by his sister Pauline.
Fondly remembered by his cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Resting in the Logan Funeral Home, 81 James Street, Parry Sound (705-746-5855), where friends will be received on Sunday, October 22nd, from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 P.M., and on Monday, October 23rd, from 12:00 – 1:00 P.M.
Service in the Logan Memorial Chapel on Monday, October 23rd at 1:00 P.M.
Interment Lakeview Cemetery.
Reception to follow at the McKellar Community Centre.
