John James Robertson – September 12, 2017

John Robertson, born January 16, 1944 on the Isle of Man passed away peacefully in the Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital on September 12, 2017. John was a proud Manxman and Canadian. He was a school teacher for many years, initially teaching in England before moving to Canada where he taught in various places, including the Peace District of Northern Alberta and Cambridge Bay in the arctic before spending the bulk of his career teaching in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta at Our Lady of the Angels School, where he influenced many lives.
John was an avid golfer, devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers Bill and Bob and brother-in-law John. He is survived by his loving wife Kay, his daughter Clare (Murray), son Andrew (Lynda), grandchildren Sarah (Heath), Matthew, Emma, Kayleen and Chrystina (Rico), his two great-grandsons Kayden and Isaac and his sister Patricia.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of the Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital for their kindness, support and care shown to John and family during his stay.
A come-and-go tea will be held in the Normandy Room of the Fort Saskatchewan Legion Hall from 2pm – 4pm on Sunday, September 17, 2017
In lieu of flowers donations to the Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
