John H. Wadman
John H. Wadman, 90, of Moncton, passed away
peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday morning, November 21,
2017. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late John and Agnes
(MacLeod)
Wadman.
John was a retired Instructor at the New
Brunswick Community College, Moncton, with 35 years’
service. He was a long-time member of St. John’s United
Church, former Church Elder for over 50 years and was a former Scout
Master, Sunday School Superintendent, Teacher and founding member of
the 50 / 50 Married Couples Club. He was past President of the New
Brunswick Technical Society, Past Master of Keith Lodge No. 23, F.
& A.M. and former member of Charlie’s Angels Round
Dance Club. He was a Veteran of WWII, having served with the Canadian
Army (Can. Tech. Training Corps). He enjoyed woodworking, fly tying,
fishing on the Miramichi and spending precious time with his family,
especially his grandchildren and great
grandchildren.
John will be sadly missed by his loving wife,
Evelyn “Evie” (DeWare) Wadman of over 66 years; daughters,
Susan Wadman and Joan Tower (Gary) both of Moncton; precious
grandchildren, Colin LeBlanc (Shelley), Josh Tower (Joy) and Morgan
Miller (Denis); great grandchildren, Brianna and Kyler LeBlanc, Draven
Miller, Sam and Isla Tower; special niece, Kathryn Jay and numerous
other nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his
immediate
family.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by
his brother, Hamilton G. Wadman; sisters, Annie Cormie (Jim), Bertha
Lusby (Vaughn) and Bernice
Wadman.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657
Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Saturday, November 25, 2017 from
1:00 to 2:30 pm, followed immediately by a Service to celebrate and
honour John’s life at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel with The
Reverend Aaron Billard officiating. Reception to follow in the Funeral
Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment will be in
Elmwood Cemetery in the
spring.
In memory of John, donations to the Friends of
The Moncton Hospital, St. John’s United Church or a memorial
of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
