John Doiron
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John
Doiron, 67, of Lakeville, Westmorland Co. He passed away peacefully at
The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, October 24, 2017. In his final weeks,
he was surrounded by the love of his family: sharing warm memories and
laughter.
Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Albert
“Abby” & Mary (Cormier) Doiron. John was
self-employed for most of his life, working in construction as a
“jack-of-all-trades” but mostly doing drywall
& plastering. He enjoyed classic cars, old music and a cold
drink. He was well known for his sense of humor – you could
never be sure if what was coming out of his mouth was fact or fiction.
John’s happiest times were spent in the company of his
family and friends. He was a simple but kind man, always willing to
lend a hand if needed. He will be forever loved and fondly remembered
by his family and friends.
John will be sadly missed by his partner of 17 years, Louise
“Weezee”; daughters, Tanya Doiron (Donald) of
Lakeville and Tisha Taylor (Corey) of Moncton; son, Todd Doiron
(Sheryl) of Moncton; 7 cherished grandchildren, TJ, Amanda, Anthony,
Corey, Shawn, Julia & Eric; several great
grandchildren; sisters, Jeanne Wood of Saint John and Eileen Fowler
(Louis) of Moncton; brother, Ulysse Doiron (Darleene); several nieces,
nephews, as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife,
Shirley (Matthews) Doiron (1998).
Stay close to your family and live your life to the fullest.
That is what Dad wanted.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road,
Moncton (858-1995) on Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A service to
celebrate and honour John’s life will be held at Fergusons
Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on
Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 11:00 am. Interment immediately
following in Elmwood Cemetery.
The family would like to invite everyone to come share their
memories and raise a toast to John following the interment at The
Moncton Dart Club, 28 Eaton Street, Moncton. Doors will be open from
1:00-5:00.
In John’s memory, donations to a memorial of the
donor’s choice would be appreciated.
