John Daniel MacDonald – Long Point
MacDonald John Daniel 76, of Long Point, died November 22, 2017 at the Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston.
Born in Black River, Inverness County, he was a son of the late Angus Archie ad Sara Agnes (Gillis) MacDonald.
John Dan was a longtime caretaker of the Troy Trailer Court and was employed for many years as a pulp cutter with R. L. Cotton Lumber Company.
He is survived by his son Evan, Dryden Ontario; grandson Dominic, granddaughter Sara, brothers Ronnie, Francis, both of Boston; Cecil, Mabou; and Jimmy, Boston; sisters Elda MacLean, Toronto; Margie MacDonald McCarthy, West Lake Ainslie; Lexie MacDonald, Judique; Jessie MacDonald, Victoria B.C.; John Dan will be missed by his many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his grandson Callum John, brother Dougald Joseph and nephews Wesley Elms.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to Strait Richmond Hospital.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Green’s Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
