John Carman Townsend
1968-2016
John Townsend, 48, of Moncton, NB; passed away at The Moncton
Hospital on Thursday, December 8, 2016. Born in Pictou, NS, John is
the son of Carman Townsend and the late Carolyn (Longley)
Townsend.
He was a graduate of Acadia University in Wolfville, NS with
a B. Sc. Degree and was employed in IT with CGI.
He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Pine Glen Rd. and a
member of the Church Choir. John loved archery, computers and music,
he was also a member of the Moncton Gentlemen of
Harmony.
Survived by his loving wife Sharon Townsend, his father
Carman Townsend of North Kingston, NS; father in law David Larsen and
mother in law Helen E. Ravn of Portage Vale; sister Patty Pryde
(Allen) of Florida and nieces Kaitlyn and Erin
He was predeceased by his mother in April 2016
Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers &
Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview on Sunday,
December 11, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm.
The Funeral service will be held at Bethel Baptist Church,
Pine Glen Rd. on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 11:00 am with Pastor Jim
Eagles officiating.
Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens,
Moncton.
Donations in John’s memory made to the the Canadian Diabetic
Association or to a Living Memorial in John’s name.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Tuttle Brothers &
Riverview Funeral Home 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview, NB (506)
