It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John Brokalakis surrounded by family on October 31, 2017 at 54 years of age after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of the late Loretta “Lori” (nee Raper) (2015) and devoted and loving father of Nicholas (Heather Soucie) and Steven. Cherished son of Nicholas Brokalakis Sr. and Angela Brokalakis and son-in-law of Donald and the late Constance Raper (2017). Dearest brother of Mary (Jim Spanos) and Nektarios Brokalakis (Evangellia). Brother-in-law of Kimberley (Dr. Christos Spirou), Beth (Paul Bridgeman), Dr. Marc Raper (Dr. Simon Joli) of Montreal and the late Paul Joseph Raper. Loving uncle to nieces and nephews Niko and Dino Spanos, Patrick Bridgeman-Rogers (Shelby), Lauren and Sean Bridgeman, Alexandra and Michael Spirou.
John spent his career in the appliance industry and was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and fiercely proud of his Greek heritage. He had a deep love for his two dogs Scottie and Scooter. John had a kind and generous spirit and prized his family above all. A special thank you to Dr. Kanjeekal, NP Shauna Carter, and the staff at Cancer Centre as well as the staff at Hotel Dieu Healthcare. John will be deeply missed by countless family and friends.
If you so desire, donations to Windsor Regional Hospital Cancer Centre Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
