Born November 7, 1956, Joe passed away suddenly & peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance – Chatham Campus on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the age of 61.
Loving husband of Janet Brunschot (nee Milne)
Devoted son of Cora Van Brunschot (nee Morlog) & the late Michiel Van Brunschot (2013).
Beloved brother & brother-in-law of Mary Ann & Kip Wieringa, Michelle & Andre Zerwer and Ian & Cindy Milne. Predeceased by brother, Gary Brunschot (1998).
Sadly missed by several nieces, nephews & great-nephews; Angela & Dan, Kip & Mandy, Katryna & Spenser, Aidan, Gillian, Rachel, Colin, Ethan, Michael & Liam.
Missed always by aunts, uncles, cousins & extended family.
Joe was devoted to his career as a “Student Transportation Specialist” with First Student of Chatham as a driver. Joe’s calling in life was always giving back to others. He was proudly involved with Scouts Canada for a majority of his life. Also serving with the Red Cross Disaster Management since 1982 & the Chatham Goodfellows since 1980.
Family & friends to be received on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 from 3:00 – 5:00 pm & 7:00 – 9:00 pm at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham. In honoring Joe’s wishes, cremation is to follow with a private family service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of ones choice.
