Joseph (Joe) Campbell Mackay, of Swift Current, Saskatchewan, age 81, passed away at The Meadows on Tuesday, January 10, 2017. Joe is survived by his wife, Gen; sons, Randy (Joan) and their daughter, Tiffany; Greg (Carol) and their children, Nick (Krista), and Zac (Ellie); Mike (Jennifer) and their children, Kyle (Kaylee) and Scott (Kristin); and by Jeff’s children, Leeta (Brent) and their children, Essa and Dax Hurford, Leena (Darryl), and their children, Dom and Vin, Summer and Drew Jennings ; one sister, Isabell Ring; and one brother, Charles. Joe was predeceased by his son, Jeff; parents, Jim and Barb; brothers, Scotty, Andy, Morven; and sisters, Barbra and Alexa. He was employed at the City Fire Department for 30 years, the school divison for 5 years, Swift Current Housing Authority for 5 years, and at Warren’s Funeral Home part-time. He was a life time member of the Royal Canadian Legion. He played hockey and baseball in his younger years , and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. In Joe’s memory, donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 56 – Memorial Donations, 239 1st Avenue NE, Swift Current SK S9H 2B3.
