JACOBS, Pieter Jozef “Joe” – surrounded by his loving family at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Monday, November 27th, 2017 in his 85th year. Beloved wife of Jeanne Jacobs (nee Goris) of Vittoria. Predeceased by his infant daugther Christiane (1953). Dearly loved father of Christiane Biddle (Robert) of Port Dover, Dianne Mitchell (David) of Simcoe, Mark Jacobs (Annette) of Delhi, John Jacobs (Sam) of Vittoria and Wendy Carter (Ron) of Delhi. Loving grandfather of Scott (Julie), Tanya (Chris), the late David, Nicole, Brad (Katie), Robin (Tyler), Crystal (Clay), the late Lindsay, Haley (Andre) & Brittany. Cherished great grandfather of Teigan, Brody, Cloey, Brennan, Emersyn, Lily, Blake, Jax, Ella, Abby, Lucas, Jacob, Ryan, Maci & Clark. Joe will be sadly missed by his siblings Theo (Jacquelina), the late Alois, his wife Celina, Christine Vansevenant (Andy), the late Marcel, his wife Henrietta, Magda Donck (the late Anton), Paul (Agnes), Rita Bahula (Joseph) & Frank (Linda). Joe will be lovingly remembered by 5 sisters-in-law & 3 brothers-in-law, all residing in Belgium and by many nieces, nephews & extended family. Friends are invited to share their memories of Joe with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Thursday, November 30th, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Cecilia’s Roman Catholic Church, 17 Lynn Park Ave., Port Dover on Friday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Lucio Couto as celebrant. Interment: Port Dover Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to donate in memory of Joe are asked to consider the Alzheimer’s Society of H-N or the Simcoe & District Humane Society.
