Joanne Schlamp
Joanne Marie Schlamp, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Prince Albert, SK, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at home in Grande Prairie, at the age of 67 years.
Joanne was a loving homemaker, devoted wife, and doting mother and grandmother. She loved being surrounded by family and friends. She was the biggest cheerleader of the family.
She loved country music, her collection of angels, and butterflies. In her younger years, she enjoyed ceramics, curling, two-stepping, and golfing. In more recent years, she enjoyed camping and was always up for a walk.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of 26 years Marvin William Schlamp; son Shawn (Leah) Roth; daughter Kimberly Roth; step-daughter Shana (James) Hill; grandchildren: Shaylee (Trent) Roth, Skylar Roth, Jesse Roth, Madison Roth, Joy Reid, Kirk Schlamp, and Kassie Hill; great-grandchildren: Dean Rycroft, Henry Rycroft, Shelby Reid, and Emerson Reid; brother Ron (Mary) Andre; sister Dora (John) Hepburn; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father James Paul Andre, and grandparents Frank and Kathleen Andre.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 3:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.). A Viewing will be held prior at 1:30pm.
Memorial donations may be made to Diabetes Canada (100, 12220 Stony Plain Road, Edmonton, AB, T5N 3Y4), or to Alzheimer Society of Alberta and NWT (102, 9823 116 Ave. Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 4B4).
