Joan passed away peacefully at her home with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, June 13, 2017. Born in Midland, Ontario, on June 18, 1933, Joan Anne Kiernan (née LeClaire) of Mount Forest, formerly of Midland, was in her 84th year.
Beloved wife for 49 years of the late Jack Kiernan (Aug. 2, 2000). Loving mother of Sharon Kiernan of Mount Forest and Robert Kiernan (Sue) of Etobicoke. Cherished Grandma of Emily and Daniel Kiernan. Survived by her brother Bob LeClaire (Blanche) of Penetanguishene, and missed by her special canine cuddle buddy Frankie. Joan will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and close friends. Special thanks to our and moms dear friends Don and Cathy Whyte, moms friend and PSW Crystal, and to Jane and Gene Gillis and family.
Predeceased by her parents Ellen and William LeClaire, siblings Marie Scott, Bill LeClaire (Orma), Murray LeClaire (Helen), Rene LeClaire, Williard LeClaire, Rita Burnett (Roy), Stan LeClaire, Lorretta LeClaire, Florence Drinkle (Doug), Myrtle Williby (Ernie), Isabelle LeClaire and Elaine Ginnetto (Morris).
At Joan’s request cremation is taking place and there will be no funeral service. Arrangements are entrusted to McGlynn Family Funeral Home, Seaforth, Ontario, 519-527-1390.
