Jim Weldon – 2017

On February 17, 2017, Mr. Jim Weldon of Sangudo, AB passed away at the age of 67 years.
Jim is survived by his wife of 47 years, Beverly; children, Janie (Michael) Scheidl of Spruce Grove, Leanne (Cory) McKenzie of Edmonton, Terri (Lance) Morgenstern of Spruce Grove, Maryanne (Devon) Crum of Spruce Grove, and Yvonne (Stephen) Lovich of Cherhill; grandchildren, Chase, Ethan, Renée, Ty, Aimee, Grace, Noah, Abbey, Peyton, Julia, Emma, and Blake; sister, Ellen of Cupar, SK; and many more dear relatives and friends. Predeceased by parents, John and Mary; brothers, Robert and William; sisters, Dorothy and Katherine; brothers-in-law, Wilfred and Keith; and sister-in-law, Nettie.
Jim will be best remembered for his commitment to his family, his quick wit and humour, and making friends of everyone he met. He was a hardworking man whose passions were trucking, watching sports, gardening and he was always willing to lend a hand to others.
Funeral Service Saturday, February 25 at 11:00 a.m. at Sangudo United Church, 4907 – 50 Avenue, Sangudo. Reverend Sharon Foster officiating with interment in South Park Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the Sangudo Minor Sports Association, Box 83, Sangudo, AB T0E 2A0.
