It is with sadness that the family of James
Vincent Allen, age 72, announces his death which
occurred peacefully on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the Sussex
Health Centre, surrounded by his family. Born in Saint John, NB on
October 5, 1944, a husband of the late Mary Lou Allen and a son of the
late James and Helen (Burnside) Allen.
Jimmy was a lover of the outdoors and enjoyed his time
hunting and fishing. He spent many hours driving on the back
roads looking for deer and moose. When he was not in the
woods you most likely would find him tinkering with equipment around
the house. Jimmy worked hard all of his life and his family was
everything to him.
Jimmy is survived by his common law wife Linda Cormier;
daughters Laura (Robbie) Young of Sussex, NB, Michelle Cormier of
Cumberland Bay, NB; sons Doug Allen of Norton, NB, Matthew (Kim) Allen
of Hammondvale, NB, Trevor (Sheri) Allen of Wards Creek, NB;
grandchildren TJ (April), Tanner, Brandon, Haley, Tasha, Roger, Chad,
Sassy, Koby; five great-grandchildren; one sister; five brothers;
several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his
granddaughter Saydi Cormier and his brother.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral
Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB where visitation
will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8PM.
The Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 11, 2017
at11:00AM from Reid’s Funeral Chapel. Interment will take
place in Mosher Hill Cemetery, St. Martins, NB.
Donations in memory of Jimmy may be made to memorial of the
donor’s choice. Personal condolences to the family
and donations may be made through ReidsFH.com
