Jim Mableson
With sadness we announce the passing of our wonderful father, Jim Mableson, on February 20, 2017. Born in Kenora, he was predeceased by his wife Thelma (nee Hives). He is lovingly remembered by his children Marilyn Hando, Lorna Astley, Bill Mableson, daughter-in-law, Diana, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Ron Hando.
Jim was delighted by small children and the companionship of animals. Our family has fond memories of enjoying the natural environment of Lake of the Woods with Dad while fishing, boating, hunting and spending days at camp. His skill in boating-building and carpentry and his self-taught knowledge of mechanics made us proud.
A private celebration of Jim’s life is planned.
