Jessie Lavigne
1930-2017
Jessie Lavigne (nee Higgins), of Oulton
Ave., Bathurst, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at
the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst on Thursday, December 14th, at
the age of 87.
Born in Dundee Scotland, she was the
daughter of the late Michael and Jessie Lawson (Drummond)
Higgins.
She is
survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Maynard, one daughter
Doreen Pitre (Gary) of Saint John and one son Michael (Barbara) of
Bathurst.
She is also survived by 2 sisters, Mae (Ian)
of Scotland and Ina of Ottawa, ON.
Two grandsons: Shawn (Louise) and Matthew
(Jodi) four great-grandchildren: Joseph, Juliet, Addison and Oliver of
Saint John, NB.
Many nieces and
nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers Michael,
Patrick, Tom, David and a sister Doreen.
There will be no visitation at the funeral
home.
Funeral service will be celebrated at
Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel
(www.elhatton.com) on Monday, December 18th at 11 AM, followed by a
reception.
Donations in memory of Jessie may be made to
the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a
charity of the donors choice.
