Obituary Overview
In Loving Memory
We are saddened by the loss of our beloved aunt, Jeanne Orvik, who was a loving and devoted aunt to many of us and a loyal and caring friend to many others, as well as a faithful follower of the Lord. She was 96 years old.
Jeanne was born on April 11, 1921 on a farm near Orkney, SK. She lived her life as a strong role model through her work ethic and her desire and love of helping others; within her family, her community of Marian Chateau and her church community.
Her faith was of utmost importance to her. Jeanne taught Sunday school for many years and loved the little ones. She worked for the Saskatchewan Government for 35 years and always enjoyed her work. Jeanne has always been a lady whose attitude was always positive. She saw the good in people, as well as in her life and made the best of everything.
She was predeceased by her dear husband Olof in 1999; sister Helen in 2001; brother Don in 2015; and beloved niece Judy Campbell in 2016.
Jeanne leaves to cherish her memory and the love and legacy she has left behind; her sister-in-law Verna Howlett; nieces and nephews Byron, Miles, and David Howlett, Karin Mitchell (Donnie), Lorna Sebesteny (Les); as well as many great nieces, nephews and relatives.
A CELEBRATION OF JEANNE’S LIFE will be held at Heritage Alliance Church 3575 Hillsdale Street, Regina, SK on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jeanne may be made to Salvation Army, 2240 13th Avenue, Regina, SK S4P 3M7.
Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery (306) 789-8850.
