Obituary of Jean Miller
1922 -2017
Jean died peacefully at her resident at The Village at University Gates on Thursday, February 23, 2017 with her family by her side.
Cherished mother of Donna Roberts, Patricia Miller and Carol (Jim) McKinley. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Lori (Dan) Schaefer, Scott Butchart, Melanie (Steve) Chris, Todd Roberts, and Mike (Ashley) Roberts and ten greatgrandchildren – Blair, Brookelyn, Ethan, Joshua, Sarah, Katie, Madelyn, Desmond, Claire and Connor. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Mel Miller and her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Vern (2008), her parents Edwin & Elsie House, her son-in-law, Richard Roberts (2015) and her sister-in-law, Myrna Smythe and brother-in-law, Gene Miller.
She was a member of Emmanuel United Church and in years past was a member of the church choir as well as the UCW. In her lifetime she was active in community activities and sports – tennis, badminton and baseball (Seniors Games). Her love of music was a gift she shared with her family and those around her.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Jean with her family during Memorial Visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 from 1 to 1:45 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 2 p.m. Reception to be held in the funeral home’s Fireside Room. Private family interment to take place at a later date.
