Obituary of Jean Schnarr
Jean passed away with family at her side at the Westmount Long Term Care Centre in Kitchener on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the age of 91.
Loving mother of Linda Frey (predeceased), Judy Wardle and her husband Brian, David Schnarr and his wife Kim, Laurie Gray and her husband Stephen, mother-in-law of David Frey and his wife Jane, grandmother of Greg Frey (Jenn), Darren Frey (Kendra), Heather Heath, Vickie Goncalves (Nelson), Michael Wardle (Denise), Sarah Schnarr (Ian), Amanda Parsons (Kaywood), Daniel Schnarr (Amanda), Andrew Schnarr (Bianca), Scott Gray (Lauren), Stephanie Canada (Medardo), Diane Timmer (Mike), and great-grandmother of 24 great-grandchildren. Survived by her sisters-in-law Eileen Schnarr, Anita Hecktus and Carole Hecktus.
Predeceased by her husband Arwood Leonard Schnarr, parents Ada Louise Koepke and Edward Hecktus, sister Elaine Bieman, and brothers Kenneth Hecktus and Ross Hecktus.
Jean was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church in Kitchener where she was secretary, Sunday School superintendant, and sang in the choir.
Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Jean during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 1 – 4 p.m. and at Faith Lutheran Church, 247 Westmount Rd. E., Kitchener on Monday, December 18, 2017 from 10 – 10:45 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Warren Hamp officiating. A reception will immediately follow at the church. Interment at Memory Gardens, Breslau.
