Obituary for Jean Mabel Stere (Schmidt)

Passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville at the age of 72. Loving wife of Gary for 51 years. Predeceased by her daughters Sherry Ann and Angela Jenette and her brothers Ken Schmidt and Don Schmidt. Loving Grandmother of Jamie Stiles, Ryan Stiles, Chelsea Tompkins and Courtney Tompkins. Sister of Betty Stere and Mary Anne Herold. Lovingly remembered by extended family and friends. A visitation will be held at NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME, 386 Mill St S, Newcastle, on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm. A funeral service will be held at NEWCASTLE UNITED CHURCH, 84 Mill St S, Newcastle on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 11am. Interment at Bowmanville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, Community Care Durham or a charity of your choice. Condolences for the family may be made online at www.newcastlefuenralhome.com
