1927-2017
Jean Agnes Lounsbury, 89, of the Jordan Lifecare
Center and formerly Petitcodiac passed away Monday September 11, 2017
at the Center. Born in Loggieville she was a daughter of the
late Joseph and Ellen (Potter) Bleakney. A homemaker Jean was a member
of the Petitcodiac Baptist Church where she served faithfully for many
years as a Bible school and Sunday school teacher and a member of the
Gullison WMS. She belonged to the Red Hatters Ladies group and in her
younger years was the goal keeper on the ladies hockey
team.
Survived and sadly missed by her beloved husband
of 66 years Stanley, her daughter in law Anna of Manitoba, cherished
grandsons Glenn, Terry (Shawna) and Walter of Manitoba and Joseph
(Mary) of Edmonton, 11 great grandchildren , a brother Robert Bleakney
(Phyllis) of Ontario and by several nieces and nephews. Survived also
by sisters in law Eleanor Joyce (Budd), Donna Gillies (Roy),
Edna Lounsbury, Irene Lounsbury, Mary Trites , brother in law George
Lounsbury (Joan). Predeceased by sons Walter (1979), David (2015),
brothers Edson, Omar, Kenneth, Glenn, Clinton, sister
Iona.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home,
3350 Route 106 (372-4800), where family will receive visitors Friday,
September 15, 2017 from 6-8pm and from where a funeral service will
take place Saturday, September 16th, 2017 at 11:00am. Rev.
David Woodworth offciating. Internment at the First North
River Baptist Cemetery.
Memorials to the Friends of Jordan Life Care
Centre or First North River Baptist Cemetery would be appreciated by
the family.
