Jean Harnick – 2016

Harnick, Jean Barbara (née McKay) – Peacefully, with her loving and devoted children by her side on Monday, December 12, 2016 at Victoria Hospital, London, Jean Barbara Harnick (née McKay) passed away at the age of 87. Loving wife of Harold Herbert Harnick (predeceased in 1987) and cherished mother of Laurie and Tim (and his partner Debra Wilson), Jean will be missed by sister-in-law, Irene McKay (wife of brother, Val), niece, Charlene Zammitt (nee McKay), and special friends Terry Nisbet, Bill Scott, Simon and Maha Baroudi, Glad Sime, and many other dear cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Predeceased by brothers, Bill and Val, and sister, Marg, Jean was a unique soul: lively, clever, musical, and very talented in a number of ways. Over the last 20 years, she extensively researched and carefully wrote two substantial Family Histories and was most recently working on a third with cousin and friend Lin Teather. She enjoyed playing the piano and loved get-togethers with friends of every age. Jean was an extraordinary and memorable woman who will be sorely missed by all those who knew and inevitably loved her.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
