In Loving Memory
It is with the heaviest of hearts we announce the passing of Janice Cartmell on December 21, 2017 in her 75th year. Janice slipped away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends. She will always be remembered for her strength, sense of humour and the love she had for her family. She is survived by her daughters Tracy, Wendy (Ron) and son Stacey (Tonya). She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Kayla, Brandon, Lakyn and Cari. Also survived by her sisters, Joyce (Gary) Saunders and Dianne (Bob) Parker, her brother Jim (Judy) Smagata and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Lloyd McCombs and Annabelle (Walter) Smagata and sister Barbara (Wayne) Swayze. We would like to thank Doctors de Wet and Khandewal, the staff and nurses at the Welland Dialysis Clinic, nurse Jen in the Welland Hospital Emergency and NRPS Constable Colton Hrcak for their compassionate care. A special thank you to Dorothy Colley and Sue Cote for keeping an eye on her. Cremation
has taken place and her interment will be at Pleasantview Cemetery on January 4, 2018 at 11:00 AM. The family welcomes you to join them for a celebration of life at the Welland Legion ( 383 Morningstar Ave, Welland) on Thurs Jan 04th at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to The Canadian Kidney Foundation or The Canadian Diabetes Association can be made in her honour.
