In Loving Memory
It is with great sadness that the family of Jane Anson, 49, of Amherst, announce her passing on Monday, December 4th, 2017, at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre. After a brief struggle with lung cancer, she died with her family around her.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of Virginia Fownes, and the late David Anson.
Jane loved animals, nature, art, literature, and music. She was a friend and champion of those in society who suffer injustice.
She is survived by mother Virginia Fownes, brothers Philip and Clement (Janette), aunt Minty (Mary), uncle Graeme (Diane), cousins John Fownes, Sherri Fownes, Laurie Grant, Michael Tinker, and Norah Anderson.
Jane was predeceased by father David, grandparents Clement and Dorothy Anson, and Donald and Margaret Fownes, and uncle Sandy Fownes.
Cremation has taken place under the care of Campbells Funeral Home, Amherst, 902-667-9906.
Janes family offers sincere thanks to the doctors, staff, and palliative care team of the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cumberland Healthcare Foundation.
