Obituary of James Myers
Myers, James a resident of Thamesville passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Friday, June 16, 2017 at the age of 85. Born in Chatham, son of the late Clement and Caroline (Lewis) Myers. Jim and his brother Irwin owned and operated Myers Brothers Service Station for 30 years in Thamesville. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 367, Thamesville and a member of St. Paul’s Church, Thamesville. Beloved husband of 64 years to Lois Ann (Cumberland) Myers. Loving father to Ron Myers (Wendy) of Florence, Bonnie Ross (Doug) of Florence, Garry Myers (Veronica) of Petrolia, Laurie McCabe (Allan) of Chatham and David Myers (Lisa) of Wyoming. Loving grandpa to Karen (Jon), Craig, Brady (Lisa), Brendan (Alicia), Brittany (Mike), Shawna (Ryan), Joel (Kelsey), Alex (Cody), Adam (Amanda), Lindsay, Matthew, Madison, Joshua, Noah. Proud great grandpa to Ryder, Cohen, Elle, Ava, Oaklyn, Lila, Lacey, Kole, Finn, Harper and Levi. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Warren and Gloria Myers, Doreen Weston, Elizabeth Myers. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters Reta Demers (Leonard), Ursula Demers (Arsene), Phyllis Ranchuck (Steve) and Irene Holmes (Erwin); brothers Elmer (Cecile), Gerry, Ernest (Evangeline) and Irwin Myers (Elda) and brother-in-law John Weston. The Myers family will receive family and friends at the John C. Badder Funeral Home 72 Victoria St., Thamesville on Monday from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 11 a.m. Cremation has taken place. Interment in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Thamesville. If desired, donations to Royal Canadian Legion Br. 367, Thamesville or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
